For more than a decade Pic Michel has built upon her corporate experience in marketing research and advertising designing workshops facilitating creative experiences for a diverse clientelle including gifted as well as challenged youth, and professional adults.
A veteran of the early days of computer aided graphic design, Pic was the director of Graphic Design & Media Services at Burke Marketing Services, Inc. in the 1980s and went on to run her own advertising art studio specializing in logo development, collateral material, and advertising for business-to-business enterprises until she became a full-time fine artist in the early 90's.
Under the auspices of Cincinnat's Contemporary Art Center and the Arts Consortium of Cincinnati, Pic first taught for Artworks, and later specialized in working with mentally ill and incarcerated youth and adults to help them identify and utilize their creative skills to simultaneously shape art and practice lifeskills.
Pic studies the creative systems of ancient cultures, exploring shamanistic practices and Advaita philosophy, and is a master Toltec teacher in the tradition of don Miguel Ruiz author of the Four Agreements. Pic's understanding of the creative process translates into beneficial lessons that are fun, interesting, and easy to embrace and implement personally and professionally.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Proctor and Gamble Corp., Cincinnati Friends of the Children, The Mayerson Foundation's Service Learning Program at St Ursula Academy, Beech Acres, The Children's Home of Cincinnati, Talbert House, and the Urban Appalachian Council of Greater Cincinnat are some of the corporations and organizations which have implemented Pic's creative and teambuilding workshop facilitation and coaching.
